The short version

I have been building software professionally since 2019 and running Mimir Solutions since 2023. The through-line is the same in every role: take the system a company depends on, understand it properly, and make it something the team can change again.

Where the way of working comes from

Four years at Span, one of Croatia's larger IT companies, were my apprenticeship in enterprise software. I started as a student on an internal project that grew into the scheduling and task engine behind an identity management rollout for a global QSR chain, and stayed on as a developer and then senior developer on identity and access projects for enterprise clients. Along the way I became the development team's DevOps person, running the Azure DevOps organisation, the pipelines and the deployments, and the one who brought new technologies into the team: evaluating them in R&D, writing up what worked, and running the knowledge-sharing sessions so the whole team could use them. That is where I learned how large organisations buy, review and run software, and how to introduce change into them without breaking anything.

A year at ELEKS followed, building backend systems on current .NET, SQL Server and Azure for large international clients, which added the experience of delivering inside someone else's engineering organisation and release process.

The engagement that defined how Mimir works was BATS CRM. It began as an assessment of an existing SaaS platform, became a proposal, then a team, then a full platform replacement with every customer migrated in batches and no downtime. Since October 2026 I lead technology for the company. That cycle, from "what do we actually have" to "it's running and the old one is gone", is what Mimir does for clients.

I scope every project myself, own the architecture and build a small team of senior engineers around it. The team is deliberately small; it is the reason we can promise weekly demos and a fixed price and mean it.

Why Mimir

In Norse mythology Mimir is the keeper of the well of wisdom. Odin gives up an eye to drink from it, because knowing what you are dealing with is worth the price. That is the first thing we do on every project: look properly before building. The mark is the well, seen from the front, with a single drop in it.

How we work

  • Fixed scope and fixed price, agreed after a short discovery sprint.
  • Weekly demos of working software, not status reports.
  • Your repository, your hosting account, your code from the first week.
  • A migration plan whenever there is existing data, and no big-bang cutovers.
  • Documentation written for the next engineer, who may not be us.

Where

Zagreb, Croatia. Central European Time. Clients in the United States and across Europe. We travel for kick-offs and go-lives when it helps, and Vienna, Munich and Milan are a short trip.
